Mission Statement

We endeavor to enable non-native English speaking children to develop bilingual ability through instruction with a strong focus on reading, and to provide a variety of ESL programs for students who attend a public Japanese school to improve their English skills.

Beliefs

We believe that:

  1. Children have a nearly unlimited amount of potential for learning, that this potential is largely untapped by most educational institutions and that children can best take advantage of this potential through right-brain learning techniques.

  2. Education started from a very early age is both important and effective.

  3. Children are capable of understanding and doing much more than is usually required of them at most educational institutions.

  4. Nothing contributes more to a child's educational growth than their ability to read at an early age.

  5. Learning is a lifelong pursuit.

Goals

Upon completion of the full-time English immersion preschool program, each preschool student will:

  1. Display the ability to read at the 1st grade level, as well as an equal ability in mathematics.

  2. Recognize his or her role in the classroom community and participate in group discussions and activities with enthusiasm while displaying proper manners.

Upon completion of the full-time English immersion elementary program, each student will:

  1. Display the ability to read at the 3rd grade level as well as an equal ability in mathematics.

  2. Display a level of social skills appropriate to their age.

  3. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Japanese and Western cultures.

Through our ESL classes, students will:

  1. Enjoy a variety of activities in an English immersion environment.

  2. Make steady progress in their ability to comprehend and communicate in English.

  3. Improve their ability to read and write English as a second language.

  4. Become more confident speakers through age-appropriate role-play.

Welcome!
